Into the New Year with Covid-19

The rapidly increasing rates of the Covid virus is becoming increasingly concerning and was brought further to the fore by a report of a person who had attended our Christmas Eve Communion service having tested positive for the virus. This has been investigated and it is apparent that this person, who is at present doing ok, actually contracted the virus on Christmas Day. What this means for us is that we do not need to isolate, however, we do need to be very vigilant – and please pray for this person and their family!

With immediate effect we are suspending our ‘in church’ services at least through January, which is in fact what many churches in the Deanery and Archdeaconry are doing. Therefore there will not be a service in church this coming Sunday or during January, and a return date will be discussed by the PCC towards the end of the month. We will endeavor to keep this website updated with any news relating to this.

Rev Carol will do a filmed message and prayers which will be available on our website.

It is with great sadness that we make this decision, but, hope you can agree that as a church we have a duty of care to each other and we do need to prioritise the welfare of ourselves, our congregation members and our families.

Stay safe, blessed and close to our loving God – and may we have a bright and happy New Year.
