Organist and Choirmaster

David has been Organist and Choirmaster at Keston Parish Church since 1978. Prior to that he sung in the choir at St Mary’s Shortlands and acted a third assistant to his organ teacher the late Leslie Ellis.

As well as playing the organ David is active as a singer in the Bromley area, most notably with the Allegri Singers ww.allegrisingers.org.uk for whom he is librarian. Having worked for nearly forty years as a librarian with Bromley Library Service, where his main responsibility was the provision of music sets to local performing groups, David took early retirement in 2011 which has allowed him to devote more time and energy to the music of Keston Parish Church. He also plays the piano for assemblies at Keston Primary School.

He lives in Bickley with his wife Caroline and their dog Finzi who has been known to sing along to his piano playing and make an appearance with the First Sunday Singers!

Due to the increase in transmission of the virus, there will not be a service in church this coming Sunday or during February!
A return date will be discussed by the PCC and we will announce our plans going forward.

It is with great sadness that we make this decision, but, hope you can agree that as a church we have a duty of care to each other and we do need to prioritise the welfare of ourselves, our congregation members and our families.

Our Vision Statement

To welcome and embrace all who come into this beautiful ancient place of peace to be blessed, healed and equipped by God for the challenges of everyday life.
