First Sunday Singers

The First Sunday Singers

The First Sunday Singers were formed in 2015 to lead the worship at our more informal First Sunday of the month All Age Communion service.

The group consists of members of the church choir and congregation who prefer a more informal style of singing.

They meet on the first Friday of the month @ 2.30pm in the church hall  for a short informal practice to learn worship songs for the All Age Communion Service. Audio links of the songs are sent to the singers beforehand so that they have a chance to learn the songs before the practice.

The group numbers around fifteen singers. As well as singing on the First Sunday, the First Sunday Singers have also sung at the Walk of Witness Service on Good Friday and help boost the church choir at weddings and funerals. Several members also sang at the 2019 Carol Service.

If you enjoy singing and this style of music why not come and join us?

First Sunday Singers in 2016

Due to the increase in transmission of the virus, there will not be a service in church this coming Sunday or during January!
A return date will be discussed by the PCC during January and we will announce our plans going forward.

It is with great sadness that we make this decision, but, hope you can agree that as a church we have a duty of care to each other and we do need to prioritise the welfare of ourselves, our congregation members and our families.

Our Vision Statement

To welcome and embrace all who come into this beautiful ancient place of peace to be blessed, healed and equipped by God for the challenges of everyday life.
