Holy Communion (Common Worship)
We welcome everyone to our Holy Communion Services, you can join in with as much or as little as you feel able. As we operate an ‘Open Table’ policy, everyone is welcome to come and partake of the sacred meal of blessed bread and wine, with the open arms of Jesus.
On the first Sunday of each month the 10am service is a shorter informal Communion Service with music led by the piano and our singing group.
On the third Sunday of each month we offer Prayer for Healing and Wholeness during the distribution of the Communion. Everyone is invited to go for prayer either for themselves or someone they know who is in need of prayer.
After each service we gather in the hall adjacent to the church for tea, coffee and friendship – which we consider as much an important part of our worship of God and our spiritual wellbeing as our gathering in church.
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another…
In light of the spread of the Coronavirus the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have issued instruction that all “public worship will have to stop”.
