Current lockdown statement

November 12, 2020

During this current lockdown we are encouraged by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, along with the Bishop of London and senior church leaders, to pray for the nation throughout the month of November. Also, to dedicate Thursdays to fasting and prayer.

With this in mind, Rev Carol will not be issuing filmed messages, except the service for Remembrance Sunday – which can be found on this website. She would be happy to receive prayer requests, to be included in her own prayers, or to disseminate to the congregation, or phone calls for a chat!

There are prayers and themes available, suggested as tools to enable all to participate and to focus their prayers – these are simply suggestions and can be found here:

You can also join with daily prayer, morning and evening, and weekly services on the Church of England website.

Due to the increase in transmission of the virus, there will not be a service in church this coming Sunday or during February!
A return date will be discussed by the PCC and we will announce our plans going forward.

It is with great sadness that we make this decision, but, hope you can agree that as a church we have a duty of care to each other and we do need to prioritise the welfare of ourselves, our congregation members and our families.

Our Vision Statement

To welcome and embrace all who come into this beautiful ancient place of peace to be blessed, healed and equipped by God for the challenges of everyday life.
