Saying goodbye to Reverend Carol

September 2, 2022

On Sunday August 28th, Rev Carol Morrison performed her last service at Keston Parish Church. After the service we planted a tree donated to the church by Rev Carol as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy and then had a lovely lunch to say thankyou and goodbye.

Thinking back over her time at Keston, she has done a considerable amount for the residents of Keston, including starting the popular Prayer Walks; our Mental Wellbeing coffee mornings; the Book Reading Fellowship, church pub socials; Wednesday Worship at Keston School as well as overseeing the much needed enlargement of the church car park. That is not to mention all the services, sermons, baptisms, weddings and funerals that she has taken as well as helping us to grow in faith. We often underestimate the time that people use to fulfil their roles in the church and community. Indeed, we often have no idea how much they actually do until they stand down! So to everyone who gives of themselves for the community in Keston, in a variety of ways, we thank you – we are not able to name you all individually, but you know who you are.
