The First Sunday Singers were formed in 2015 to lead the worship at our more informal First Sunday of the month Celebrational Worship.
The group consists of members of the church choir and congregation members who prefer a more informal style of singing.
They meet on the first Friday of the month @ 2.30pm in the church hall for a short informal practice to learn worship songs for the Celebrational Worship on the first Sunday of the month. Audio links of the songs are sent to the singers beforehand so that they have a chance to learn the songs before the practice.
The group numbers around ten singers. As well as singing on the First Sunday, the First Sunday Singers have also sung at the Walk of Witness Service on Good Friday and help boost the church choir at weddings and funerals. Several members also sang at the 2024 Carol Service.
