Eight dogs enjoyed the Pet Service on the afternoon of Saturday 4th October, but sadly no other types of animals attended. Perhaps with a bit more publicity we will get a variety of animals next year!
18 adults attended the service and were accompanied during the hymns by a dog or two. Each dog went up individually to receive a blessing from Rev’d Belinda, ‘You were created by God, and you are loved by God. May you and your human family experience joy and companionship together, and continue to be a blessing to one another. In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen’.
The service marked the end of Creationtide in the church calendar.
