We are pleased to announce our plans to re-open the church for Sunday services in line with the government guidelines.
The date we are looking to start back with our Sunday services is the 16th August.
We will need to adhere to the government and Church of England guidelines that apply to all public areas of re-opening. This will mean the need for social distancing within the church and certain procedures to be followed.
As we are quite a small church and we only have a single aisle, this will result in a reduced capacity for each service. Because of this, we will need to put in place a booking system to attend Sunday services, which many churches are already following.
In the coming weeks we will be preparing the church for its re-opening and will also be finalising the procedures we need to put in place for the safety of everyone we will be welcoming back. If you are interested in attending a Sunday service, please contact your church representative or our Rector, Rev. Carol Morrison, to request your place.
Please be patient with the ongoing situation as some of you may have to wait an additional week to be able to attend, depending on the demand for places. Also be aware that all the precautions we are putting in place and asking you to follow are for your own safety and for the safety of those you are close too.
For more information please call the Rector Reverend Carol Morrison on 01689 853186. We will also keep our web-site updated.
In light of the spread of the Coronavirus the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have issued instruction that all “public worship will have to stop”.
