PRAYER WALKS – Every 1ST Tuesday of the month,  2nd April, then Tuesday 7th May.  Please come along with or without a dog, and we all have a good chatter, and then stop, reflect and pray at several intervals along the way, we start at 9.30 am on Commonside near the old Rectory.

ON PALM SUNDAY 14TH April  We will commemorate Christ’s entry into Jerusalem.  Circumstances permitting (weather, etc.) we will begin our service in the Churchyard where our Palms are blessed.  This act symbolises Jesus in the World, his welcome by the people and his procession down the Mount of Olives and triumphant entry into Jerusalem.  So we will begin our service in the open air and process into church via the Church Hall.  Sadly we don’t have a Donkey as some churches do!!   But we will sing “All glory, laud and honour!”  No sermon today!  The dramatic reading of the Gospel takes us into the meaning of HOLY WEEK  The procession and the Gospel reading are in themselves an eloquent proclamation of the heart of the coming week.

MEDITATION GROUP – Every 3rd Monday  - 15th April and 20th May.  We begin at 7.30 pm in the Church or church hall.  All are very welcome, to take time out from our busy lives

MEN’S PUB SOCIAL – These happen every 3rd Wednesday of the month – and the next one is 17th April & 15th May at the Greyhound Pub @ 7.30 pm.

MAUNDY THURSDAY – 18TH APRIL @ 6.00 PM  BRING & SHARE SUPPER, & 8 PM MAUNDY EUCHARIST – We are holding a Mediterranean style supper at 6.00 pm, and then followed by Holy Communion at 8 pm.  There’s a list at the back of the church for food items to bring, and also to put your name down.
GOOD FRIDAY – 19TH APRIL – We will begin our Walk of Witness from the Village sign, outside the Greyhound Pub, and walk to Church.  At approximately 10.45 am we will have a short church service including a dramatic reading, and this will be followed by Hot cross buns in the Hall.  There will be a time for quiet reflection around the cross from 2.45 pm – 3 pm.

HEALING & WHOLENESS (H&W) - Every 3rd Sunday we offer healing and wholeness prayers for all who may like the benefit of a special prayer,  just after taking Communion on Easter Sunday 21st April and 19th May.

APCM – SUNDAY 28TH APRIL – Following the APCM we will be offering a light lunch of home made soup and a ploughmans  (£7  per person) – please put your name on the list to help with catering needs.  Remember to be part of the APCM you need to be on our Electoral Roll.

NEXT DATE FOR BOOK READING FELLOWSHIP – Please come along to Sally Churchus home @ 103 Gravel Road on Monday 13TH May @ 2 pm to  discuss books with some Christian content, either from the church library or your own.

PUB SOCIALS – Our next Pub social will be @ 7.30 pm on Tuesday 14th May at the Crown. Please do come along for a meal, or just a couple of drinks  – all are very welcome!

MESSY CHURCH – Tuesday 21st May at 3.30 – 6 pm.  Come along for lots of fun and crafts, followed by a short act of worship in church, then finishing with a High Tea.  Free admission, but donations towards costs much appreciated.

NEW PATTERN OF WORSHIP – We will begin this new pattern on Sunday 2nd June - First Sunday in the month: an ‘All Age’ Communion service at the 10.00 am service, still shorter and child friendly!  (This means we will no longer have a BCP Communion Service at 8.00 am).  First Tuesday in the month: prayer walk.  9.30 am - with opportunity to gather for a ‘cuppa’ afterwards in the village.  Second Wednesday of the month: mid-week BCP Communion at 10.30 am.  Third Monday of the month:  Meditation at 7.30 pm.  Fourth Tuesday:  Home Group at the Rectory. 7.30 pm

HELP PLEASE – A few generous members of our Church have been purchasing the wine for Communion,  coffee & tea for use at Church services, and socials.  If you feel you can purchase a tin of coffee,  box of tea, or  bottle of British fortified wine – the Church would be most grateful.

ALL SAFEGUARDING INFORMATION & PUBLICATIONS are displayed on the centre Notice Board in the foyer.

PRAY TOGETHER @ 9 AM BEFORE THE SUNDAY 10 AM SERVICE – Many Churches have a prayer time before the Sunday Service, and Carol would like to encourage anyone to come up to Church at about 9 am to pray with her.  This should only take 10 minutes.

The Keston Prayer
Merciful God, as we trust in your love;
Increase our faith, feed us with your word and strengthen us
for service.  Bless our community.  Make this place holy,
to heal and transform all who come.
In the precious name of Jesus our Saviour,   Amen.
